Crossley, Managing Director of Distribution at L&G and head of the Women in Protection network, spoke yesterday to encourage companies to foster an atmosphere of inclusion and understanding, hoping to reduce the effects of the impostor syndrome in the financial sector on both genders. To combat this feeling of insecurity, Crossley advises women to celebrate successes and create relationships with colleagues while employers can act as mentors. Companies should also be more flexible with work-life balance and accommodate individual needs, to create a community that embraces success, collaboration and support.
